Love Songs for Tu B’Av: A Song Circle and Celebration with Molly Bajgot

Join us on the full moon of Av to celebrate Tu B’Av: the holiday of love and the grape harvest. We’ll sing, dance, and bless to soften our hearts during this month of mourning. You’re invited to wear white (as is custom) and to bring a picnic to enjoy afterwards. Light refreshments will be served.

Tu B'Av, the 15th of the Hebrew month of Av, is a joyful minor Jewish holiday that many people don't know about!  Tu B'Av celebrates love, unity, and new beginnings. In ancient times, its observance included matchmaking events in orchards and vineyards. Today, it's often likened to a Jewish Valentine’s Day, symbolizing hope, reconciliation, and the power of love and connection in Jewish tradition.
