New Moon Harvest Festival

New Moon Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 11 from 1-4 pm.
Celebrate the turning of the seasons with Abundance Farm at our annual Harvest Festival, as we welcome the new moon and the Hebrew month of Cheshvan—a time for gathering, gratitude, and celebration.
Join us for Farm activities, music, food, and a new moon ritual.  Open to all, this family-friendly celebration, guided by the themes of hospitality, harvest and connection to the land, invites everyone—whether you’re familiar with Jewish traditions or simply seeking a meaningful way to honor the season.
In the spirit of shared abundance, consider bringing a vegetable to add to our communal stone soup, simmered over an open fire.

Menstrual Supplies Donation Drive

September 27–October 11
Rosh Chodesh, the holiday marking each new Hebrew month on the new moon, has been traditionally considered a women's holiday, in part due to the connection between lunar and menstrual cycles. In continuity with our tradition, we envision a modern Rosh Chodesh that celebrates all women and all people who menstruate, and that calls us to attend to the issues facing both interconnected groups.

About 40% of menstruating people in the US struggle to afford menstrual supplies. We are partnering with the Survival Center to donate new, unopened menstrual cups, discs, reusable cloth pads, period underwear, pads, tampons, and liners. Donations will be accepted from September 27–October 11, in the CBI lobby and at the New Moon Harvest Festival.
